Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 January 2017 Verified Purchase As a lifelong Wacom user, and having spent 6 years working my old Bamboo tablet to death, I was hesitant to take the plunge with Huion, but I decided the massive work area and reasonable price were worth taking the risk, and I'm so glad I did. The tablet works flawlessly and is much better quality than my old tablet. There are two small things I would like to note though: 1. It's sturdy. Like, really sturdy. Don't expect to be moving it around a lot. It's quite chunky and pretty massive. It's gonna be a centrepiece on your desk. Not to finish on a negative thought: despite some aesthetic quibbles, the tablet functions better than I dared hope it would for the price. Definitely one of the better gambles I've made. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 July 2018 Verified Purchase For years I've been using a Wacom Bamboo tablet with an active surface area of about A6 (9.5 x 15 cm) which works great, but I was looking to upgrade. A few of the "speed paint" YouTubers I follow mentioned this HUION tablet and had great things to say about it. At just over 90 quid it's an absolute bargain compared to other tablets of a similar size! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 June 2017 Verified Purchase got this for my daughter after we had nothing but trouble from a competitors version. This is easy to install, the device it uses to connect is actually a memory stick capable of holding the drivers The pad itself is excellent it's large area and great response makes it a joy to use. My daughter loves it a day the quality of her art has leapt since getting this. A great piece of kit, it works properly with no drama and no sulking. The fact it can be used wirelessly just improves it's usefulness - if you're looking for a great tablet that simply works with no drama, this is what you want Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 November 2020 Verified Purchase I bought this to replace an old Wacom Bamboo tablet. The Wacom alternatives were £400+ so at a shade under £80 this seemed like a bargain. The tablet feels nice quality. The pen is light and reminds me of a really old Wacom Graphite pen I had years ago (only much better). I thought the pen was broken initially, then I discovered I had to press it quite hard to 'wake it up'. The pen holder stores the pen vertically, unlike the horizontal holder shown in most YouTube videos. I use it with my Left hand, there are rotation options in the driver software. Rotating by 180 degrees also moves the shortcut buttons to top/right, which I feel is better. Wireless mode works fine. I tested it with Photoshop CS4 and Affinity Designer without problems. Had to turn off Windows Ink to avoid UI weirdness in Windows 10. I wanted a large tablet to improve sketching accuracy. It certainly does that, but you do have to move the pen A LOT! The good news is, you can reduce the active area, so you can fine-tune it to your perfect size. My upper shoulder hurts from an afternoon's work! For the money, the tablet is excellent and is way better than my old Wacom. I look forward to using it. If I had to pick a down-side, it would be that the pen needs recharging. But that's all. UPDATE: Note that if you're programming express keys and you use it in 180 degree mode, your button configuration will automatically get rotated. This confused me at first. Also, I found the wireless mode kept cutting out in use, so I have to use the device wired. Reviews with images

2. Although definitely comfortable to hold, the pen design is pretty ugly. The cap and pen stand are pretty bulky and ruin the beautiful aesthetic established by the tablet itself.
The only slight problem with the item is that the instructions seem to be from an older model, so for instance it says "Insert the CD to install drivers". I imagine this could be confusing to some people cos all the software is on a little USB stick tucked away under a panel on the back of the tablet.
In the past I've had problems setting up wi-fi devices like printers, so I was expecting to have to use the cable to connect the tablet, but it just... worked straight away!
It's wonderfully responsive, precisely keeping track of your position on the pen on the tablet with zero latency. The pressure sensitivity is excellent, meaning you can transition from light touches to heavy firm strokes in a way that feels just like real drawing or painting. The large working area means you make expressive gestures with your drawing arm, unlike my old A6 size pad where I was limited to drawing with a rather stiff wrist. The size also allows for much more detailed work than smaller tablets.
It's been really simple to set up 12 buttons on the tablet to handle the all the shortcuts I need. Just click on the tablet icon on the taskbar, go to "advanced" and enter options for each button. I'm using Krita, so I've selected "CTRL" for button 1, "Shift" for button 2, "Space + Shift" for button 3, "M" for button 4 etc, so I can hold button 1 while tapping the tablet to trigger the eyedropper tool, hold button 2 while moving the pen left or right to change the brush size, hold button 3 while moving the pen to zoom in and out of the canvas, hit button 4 to flip the canvas horizontally, etc.
As other reviewers have said, the tablet and pen stay charged for AGES! I've been using mine for around 40-50 hours in total without having to recharge.
In summary I'm absolutely delighted with this tablet. It's giving me a really authentic painting experience without any of the mess :)
